DAY 1 – Arrive Delhi, Sunday, March 1, 2020 Arrive at the capital of India. On arrival and after clearing immigration and customs you will meet and be transferred to the hotel. There are no activities planned for the rest of the day so you are free to explore the bustling capital city. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 2 – Delhi, Monday, March 2, 2020 This morning your tour takes you to Old Delhi. See the Red Fort, a symbol of Mughal power. Experience Chandni Chowk (old shopping street) on a Auto Rickshaw & visit the Jama Masjid Mosque area. Afternoon sightseeing tour of New Delhi. Our tour includes a visit to the impressive QutabMinar, a 234-foot sandstone tower, and Humayun`s tomb, a predecessor to the famous Taj Mahal. Overnight stay at hotel.
DAY 3 – Delhi, Agra, Tuesday, March 3, 2020 Early morning train to Agra. Upon arrival in Agra, check in at the hotel. Proceed for sightseeing of the Taj Mahal. Next we will visit the important 16th- century Mughal monument known as the Red Fort of Agra. This powerful fortress of red sandstone encompasses, within its 2.5- km-long enclosure walls, the imperial city of the Mughal rulers. Overnight at the hotel
Day 4 – Agra – Varanasi, Wednesday, March 4, 2020 Early morning proceed to see the Taj once again at sunrise. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Transfer to airport for flight. Upon arrival in Varanasi, check in at hotel. Evening discussion with Hindi experts on religious ceremonies. Overnight at the hotel
Day 5 – Varanasi, Thursday, March 5, 2020 Early in the morning visit various Ghats by Boats on River Ganges the holy river of great importance, view sunrise on the Ganges Breakfast at hotel. An afternoon visit to Sarnath, where Buddha first taught the Dharma. After Sarnath proceed on a Varanasi City tour by Auto Rickshaws visiting the Golden Temple: Varanasi’s most sacred shrine. Later proceed to attend the evening Ganga Aarti (PRAYER CEREMONY) at the Dashashwamedh ghat, – observe the rituals from a boat on the Ganges. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6 – Varanasi – Jaipur, Friday, March 6, 2020 Breakfast at the hotel, morning visit to local NGO or free time to enjoy the spa, yoga, or shopping. Afternoon flight to Jaipur. Overnight at hotel.
Day 7 – Jaipur, Saturday, March 7, 2020 After breakfast visit the Amber Fort arriving on elegantly caparisoned elephants. The Amber Fort was once the ancient capital of Jaipur. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Jaipur city. Evening free for shopping and dining. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 8, Jaipur – Udaipur, Sunday, March 8, 2020 Early morning transfer to the Jaipur railway to board train to Udaipur. An afternoon boat ride on Lake Pichola. The rest of the day is free for relaxing, visiting the spa, or shopping. Overnight at hotel.
Day 9, Udaipur – Monday, March 9, 2020 Visit the City Palace, and some sights of Udaipur. Join in the festival of HOLIKA DAHAN, where they light big bonfires to burn evil spirits. Evening HOLI celebration at the City Palace for a gala dinner with fireworks. Overnight at hotel.
Day 10, Udaipur – Mumbai, Tuesday, March 10, 2020 Breakfast at the hotel. Day of HOLI Festival. Enjoy a walking tour to participate in color splashing with the locals. Transfer to the airport for a flight to Mumbai. Upon arrival in Mumbai proceed to a short tour of the city, and then on to dinner and cocktails with Abraham George, our tour host. Overnight at hotel.
Day 11, 12 & 13 – Kumarakom – Wednesday thru Saturday, March 11, 12, & 13, 2020 An early morning flight to Kochin. We arrive in Kochin and transfer to the Ayurvedic SPA for three days! Where we will rejuvenate ourselves with a wide variety of Ayurvedic services. We are enrolled in the Sanjeevanam: Wellness Package that includes life style and diet counseling, massage therapy with herbal oils and powders, steam therapy, herbal oil heat packs, yoga & meditation!
Day 14 & 15, Kochin – Delhi – U.S.A. Saturday – Sunday, March 14 & 15 , 2020 – Drive to Kochi and enjoy a sightseeing tour of Kochin covering the Jewish Synagogue, the Dutch Palace, and the sister city Ernakulam. Transfer to the hotel near the airport for a late lunch and later transfer to Kochin airport for our flight to Delhi to connect with our international flights back home.
